Balloon Care Guide

BALLOON CARE GUIDE

When you order your balloons from Partiloons, we always inflate the balloons in advance to detect if there is any damage or leaks. Your balloons are always placed inside a bag to ensure a safe journey. Be very careful when leaving the shop and be mindful of any sharp object, corners or rough surfaces.

Once the balloons have left the shop, we will not be liable for any damage. You will be entitled to inspect the product before you take possession of it to ensure they are fit for the purpose.

WEATHER & TEMPERATURE

Balloons should be kept at room temperature. Increase handling of balloons may cause the balloons to burst.

Hot conditions:

Helium expands in hot conditions and this can cause your balloons to pop. We recommend not to leave balloons in hot places such as near radiators, direct sunlight etc. If you leave your balloons in a car on a hot day we recommend using air conditioning when transporting your balloons.

Cold conditions:

Helium reduces in the cold, it will temporarily deflate and will inflate when put in warm conditions. On bubble balloons, the personalised message may have bubbles as the balloon will change in size when the temperature change.

CHILDREN & PETS

Balloons are not a toy. Uninflated or burst balloons can present a choking hazard and should never be left with children under the age of eight without supervision. Store balloons away from pets to ensure that they cannot get themselves tangled with balloon ribbons or accidentally ingest popped balloons or their decorative contents such as confetti, feathers, or other materials. If a balloon pops, clear away any broken balloons and it’s decorative contents (if applicable) immediately.

BALLOONS & ENVIRONMENT

At the end of a balloon’s life, cut the end of the balloon with scissors to remove any air or balloon gas, then dispose of it in the bin. NEVER release balloons into the environment. ALL released balloons become litter. They can get caught up in trees or power lines. Remember – Don’t Let Go & Pin It and Bin It

LATEX & FOIL BALLOONS

Our latex balloons are biodegradable which means it will oxidise over time. Clear Latex balloons become cloudy quickly when exposed to heat and sunshine. Coloured balloons will take on a velvety, matte appearance. Most balloons are made of natural rubber latex and may cause allergies. Please look out for symptoms in case of allergies and seek immediate help.

Foil balloons must be kept with the same care as any other types of balloons. Avoid any sharp objects, corners, pins, scissors, types of furniture,  car doors etc.

BALLOONS AND CEILINGS

Lights, paint textures, irregular surfaces and even static can all pop balloons. If you are planning on placing your balloons on a ceiling, ensure that you test it first.

BUBBLE BALLOONS

Due to the sensitive nature of bubble balloons, we float it for 2-3 hours prior to collection or delivery to check if the is any leaks or damages. A bubble balloon can float for several days but often will vary depending on the conditions that it is kept at. Personalisation on a bubble balloon will start to wrinkle after several days and the balloon will start to reduce in size. This is a natural process of bubble balloon and cannot be avoided.
